Summer is Cancelled
Summer is cancelled. Well, for me it is.
While summer is a time for people to let loose, enjoy the weather, and spend time doing everything under the sun (literally), I find myself spending my days, and sometimes weekends, in a small office hidden away from views of the sky.
Welcome, to my first adult job.
Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love where I work and what I do. Though the days may be long and tiring, at least more than what I’m used to, I feel a great sense of pride, joy, and fulfillment when I leave at the end of the day.
Adulting, as I’ve honestly realized, is hard. Less vacation time that I’m used to having, less down time for leisurely activities, and I fall asleep against my will before midnight. In the midst of numerous other things that have suddenly become pressing issues, I find relief in counting down the days until I can take some time off for my dream vacay.
Until then, I’ll sit back and enjoy the day-to-day life that I have.
See you next time!
